THE AMERICAN INSTITUTE CELEBRATES THANKSGIVING

Every year, The American Institute celebrates Thanksgiving, as it is one of the most traditional and biggest holidays in the United States.  It is a time for family members to get together, be reunited, and enjoy each other’s company since most Americans are either working or live away from their families.  Here’s a bit of history of Thanksgiving, according to History.com:

In 1621, the Plymouth colonists and Wampanoag Indians shared an autumn harvest feast that is acknowledged today as one of the first Thanksgiving celebrations in the colonies. For more than two centuries, days of thanksgiving were celebrated by individual colonies and states.

We are having our Thanksgiving party at the rooftop of the American Institute for English Proficiency Quezon City branch, and we would like to invite our former and current students to join us.  We will be feasting, playing games, and just having a bonding moment with each other.  One of things you can expect for dinner is the centerpiece: oven-baked turkey.  It is delicious when paired when mashed potatoes and gravy, cranberry, and stuffing.  We will have other delicious dishes like sausages and beef stew as well.
