Welcome to our first
ever Summer Camp for Educators:
You-Can't-Give-What-You-Don't-Have Summer
Camp - A Special
Course on English Proficiency and Communication Training for
Teachers and Educators.
So why is it called "You Can't Give What You Don't
Have" Summer Camp? As educators, whether we're teachers,
managers, supervisors, business owners, leaders, and public
officials, we will always be imparting our skills, knowledge, and
wisdom to others. However, what we have isn't always
enough. In fact, we sometimes don't have it.
Just because we are now at the level or position to lead or teach
others, it doesn't mean that we are truly capable of the
responsibilities given to us. We hide behind our positions,
and we use our status, to complete our tasks, failing to recognize
that we are not giving our students and employees the very
best.
How can we give (skills, knowledge, wisdom) when we
don't have it in the first place? This summer camp starts to
address the issues involved. It begins with the most basic
skill that all educators should have: communication, with English
as the primary medium. How do we communicate to our students
and employees in the most effective manner? How do we improve
our conversation fluency and public speaking skills so that we
become the most effective educators?
Teachers should be the role model. How can a student become a
leader, a successful entrepreneur, a visionary, a change agent, or
a professional when the teacher him or herself is not leading by
example? This summer camp will discuss these issues
and how you can become the best teacher/manager/educator you can
be.
