GOD’S APPOINTED TIME
What came in your mind whenever you hear the message ”it is God’s appointed time”? What are God’s appointed times in our life?
Some definitions of the word appoint in the Webster’s Universal English Thesaurus are: determine, establish, fix, prescribe, decree, direct, order, assign, and destine. These words describe seriousness, importance and significance. More so, when used in conjunction with the Creator’s time, which means God’s appointed time.
God’s love to His creations never stops. Though people sinned and keep on sinning, He is still fixed with His appointed times for the perfection of His great plan to humanities. He is determined in fulfilling it.
Firstly, our Father set an appointed time for people to know and receive Jesus as personal Lord and Savior that we may receive assurance of salvation for our soul.
This is a spectacular moment in our life because spiritually, people are being transferred from the place of darkness to marvelous light. We become the children of God and we can call Him Father as stated in John 1:12.
We could feel God’s love as we receive God’s message and we know also that He gives special attention to us as children of God.
Secondly, when He calls His people to commit ourselves for God’s service. It was God’s appointed time for His children to offer ourselves to His service though we may feel not worthy of it.
God does not want that anyone will perish, but everyone to come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9). That is why He keeps on calling His people to be of service to Him for the salvation of His creations and fulfillment of His great plan on earth. It will never be by our might nor by our power, but by His Spirit that dwells in us.
He keeps on fulfilling His appointed time, and we become part of it. We do not live for ourselves alone but we are living for others also.
Thirdly, when He comes back again to meet us in the air, during the wedding of the Lamb. It will never be a rushed wedding, but a planned and organized wedding, His appointed time for us to be with the Heavenly Father. This is the fulfillment of God’s promise.
In conclusion, God’s time is perfect. As we dedicate ourselves, allow Him reign and control our lives. He makes all things beautiful in His appointed time.
