Do you still see children who pays respect to elders ? ( like gestures of pagmamano)

Sadly,  I dont see kids pays respect anymore to elders.  I dont see the MANO PO manners anymore.  And only few kids still knows and practice PO and OPO.

Respect to elders is a family values that has been strictly observed in our family. Even now, my siblings and I as well as my nephews and niece still practice the manners of "pagmamano" and saying "po at opo".

Yes I still do. Just believe our culture will survive somehow. I never learned "mano po" in my side of the family but I do use "po" and "opo" most of the time. But in my wife's side they do all of those. It's the parents' responsibility to teach this to their children.

Just wondering... How do you say PO and OPO in english?

I still see young children who still practices "pagmamano" and saying "po at opo". I think that those practices are one of the first things that parents teach their children. Hopefully, children would still continue doing this practices because it not only shows respect to elders, it also shows respect to the Filipino culture and tradition.
